Recycling Means Economic and Environmental Benefits in Haverford Township

It’s coming — single stream recycling

Starting in January 2009, you will be able to put glass (clear, green, brown, blue, fuchsia, etc.), cans (steel, tin & aluminum), plastics (still just #1 & #2) and paper (newspapers, cardboard, cereal boxes, junk mail, etc.) all in one container!!!   Initially you will just use your current containers.

It is anticipated that by making recycling easier, more people will recycle.  Not only will this be great for the environment, it will also reduce our trash tonnage (saving us money for trash-to-steam with the County) and increase the money we receive in recycling grants!

     TIME:    9 AM to 1PM

LOCATION:    Public Works Yard, Hilltop Road, Havertown
