HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP AND UPPER DARBY TOWN MEETING TO DISCUSS
“TRAFFIC CALMING” ALONG DANGEROUS TOWNSHIP LINE ROAD

November 3 – 7 p.m.

St. Dot’s School Hall

On November 3, Haverford Township, Upper Darby Township, State Representative Jamie Santora and State Senator Tom McGarrigle will host a Town Meeting to review PennDot’s proposed recommendations for “traffic calming” along Township Line Road between Lansdowne Avenue and State Road.

State Representative Santora initiated a request with PennDot with coordination of Haverford Commissioner Bill Wechsler and Upper Darby Mayor Tom Micozzie after two fatal accidents on Township Line in the month of September.

An initial meeting was held with both Police Departments and officials from both townships on September 15, 2016.

PennDot was asked to develop a plan to increase safety along Township Line Road. A follow-up meeting was held at PennDot’s regional office on October 6, 2016. An initial plan was presented and both townships suggested some changes.

On November 3, there will be a Town Meeting to present the initial plan and hear feedback from the residents that live in the area of Township Line Road.

The meeting will be held at St. Dorothy Parish School Hall at 7:00 p.m.

Please attend if at all possible. Your input is important.
